This is a four-week program in which is part dream observation, part esoteric reading and part imaginative writing. Participants will keep a dream journal throughout the four-week period. Participants have the opportunity to workshop their dreams with the group in each session, unpacking symbols and narratives as they appear. We will read, view and discuss texts that feature dreams, including ancient oneirology, cross-cultural dream practices and works by Andrei Tarkovsky, Pauline Oliveros and more. Each workshop will include imaginative writing exercises.

This is an experimental and generative way to observe how our dreams appear and evolve as a group over a set period of time. We will become familiar with each other’s dreamscapes and patterns, which will allow for dynamic comparative study. Understanding the dreams as they appear in cultural material will also aid us in meaning making in dreaming.

Participants must have access to a computer and internet. All resources will be digital. A detailed course outline will be provided before delivery.

Participants will also be able to receive feedback from Manisha Anjali on three pieces of writing for the duration of this course.
